Paydays
Paydays tells Corte when you get paid. With it, Corte can show which payday covers each card: the last payday before the card’s due date. To open it, tap Settings, then Paydays.
Each schedule is a card headed by its name (or how often it pays, until you name it), with its number, such as Schedule 1, on the right.
Set your paydays
Section titled “Set your paydays”- Tap Settings, then Paydays.
- In the first schedule, give it a Name if you like, such as Salary, and under Pay schedule choose how often you are paid:
- Certain days of the month: for example the 15th and the last day. Corte starts with the 15th and the last day.
- Every week: pick the day of the week.
- Every two weeks: pick the day of the week, then Starting from, the date of one payday. Every payday after it is 14 days apart.
- Custom dates: add each date you will be paid.
- Under If a payday falls on a weekend or holiday, choose what Corte does: Keep the day, Day before (the business day before) or Day after.
- Look at Next paydays at the bottom of the card. It updates as you change things.
- Tap Save paydays. Corte shows “Paydays saved”.
The first time you use Corte, it takes your weekend and your region’s holidays from your device. Paydays that move because of a weekend or a holiday are listed under Next paydays, for example “Oct 31 falls on a day off, so it moves to Oct 30.”
Days of the month
Section titled “Days of the month”Each day you add appears as a chip, such as 15th or Last day. To remove one, tap the × on it. A schedule always keeps at least one day. To add a day, tap + Add day, type a number from 1 to 31 under Day of the month and tap Add day. To add the last day of every month, tap + Last day. If a month doesn’t have your day (the 30th in February), Corte uses that month’s last day.
To add a custom date or the starting date, tap the date field. On an iPhone or iPad a picker opens: choose the date, then tap Done. On Android the calendar closes when you choose a date.
More than one schedule
Section titled “More than one schedule”If you are paid from more than one place, such as a salary and some freelance work, tap Add another schedule. You can have up to four. Cards use the first schedule unless you pick another one for the card. To remove a schedule, tap Remove this schedule.
The first schedule is your default. A card can use another schedule: see Cards.
If you don’t set paydays
Section titled “If you don’t set paydays”Corte still works. Today groups your cards by the date they are due instead of by payday. To go back to that, remove every schedule and tap Save paydays. The next time you open it, a single schedule is shown for you to fill in.
Questions
Section titled “Questions”Can I change my paydays later? Yes. Edit them and tap Save paydays. Today updates straight away.
Why does the next payday I see differ from the day I chose? Because it fell on a weekend or a holiday and you asked Corte to move it. Choose Keep the day to stop that.
Which holidays does Corte use? Public and bank holidays of the region your device is set to.
