Payments
Every payment on a card, wherever it came from: the ones you log, the ones Corte read from a transfer confirmation you forwarded, and the ones your bank printed on a statement. Here you can check them, correct one, or delete one logged by mistake.
The list
Section titled “The list”- Open a card from Cards.
- Under the card’s details, tap Payments. The row shows your latest payment, for example “Last Oct 1 · $120.00”, or “None yet”.
Under the title is the card, for example “Atlas Gold ··· 4821”. Log payment beside the title opens Log a payment for this card.
Payments are grouped by the statement each one counts toward, such as “Statement due Oct 20”, newest first. Payments that don’t count toward a statement are last, under “Not applied to a statement”.
Each payment shows:
- The amount.
- The day and where the money came from: “Oct 1 · Paid from Banco Ejemplo”. A payment the bank printed says “Payment printed by the bank”, since a statement doesn’t say where the money came from.
- Where Corte got it: Logged (you logged it, in the app or from a notification’s Mark as paid), From a confirmation (read from a transfer confirmation you forwarded) or Read from the statement.
If there are none yet, it says “No payments yet. Log one when you pay this card.” If they can’t load, it says “Couldn’t load the payments.” with Try again.
Edit a payment
Section titled “Edit a payment”- Tap a payment marked Logged or From a confirmation.
- Edit payment opens with everything filled in. Change the amount, Date paid, Paid from or the note. Apply to the statement due Oct 20 counts the payment toward that statement. Turn it off to keep the payment on the card without tying it to a statement.
- Tap Save changes. It stays unavailable until you change something.
Corte closes the sheet and shows “Payment updated”. The card’s balance line updates straight away. If you change the day, the payment counts toward the statement for the new day.
The card can’t be changed. To move a payment to another card, delete it and log it on the other card.
If you close the sheet after changing something, Corte asks “Discard your changes?” with Keep editing and Discard. If the payment can’t be saved, it says “Couldn’t save the payment. Try again.” and keeps what you entered.
Delete a payment
Section titled “Delete a payment”- Open the payment and tap Delete payment.
- Corte asks “Delete this payment?”: “It no longer counts toward the statement due Oct 20.” Tap Delete payment, or Keep it to stop.
The payment leaves the list at once and “Payment deleted” appears with Undo. Tap Undo while it’s showing to bring the payment back. Once the message goes, the payment is deleted, and the statement it counted toward owes that amount again. If Corte can’t reach the server, the payment comes back and Corte says “Couldn’t delete the payment. Try again.”
Payments read from a statement
Section titled “Payments read from a statement”When a statement lists a payment, the bank’s figure is what counts. Tapping one of these payments shows it without a way to change it: the card, the amount, the day, “Not on the statement” for where it was paid from, and the statement it counts toward. Open statement opens that statement.
To correct one, correct the statement’s figures in Review. Deleting it wouldn’t help: it would come back with the next statement.
Questions
Section titled “Questions”Why did a payment I logged change to “Read from the statement”? When your next statement lists the same payment (the same amount in that period), Corte replaces the one you logged with the bank’s, so it’s never counted twice. Your note and where you paid from go with it, since the statement doesn’t print them.
Can I undo a delete after the message has gone? No. Log the payment again.
Does deleting a payment here undo anything at my bank? No. Corte only records your payments; it never moves money.
