Export my data
Data and export makes a copy of what you have put in Corte, as a file you can keep or open in another app. To open it, tap Settings, then Data and export, or Settings, Account, then Export my data. You can also reach it from the delete screens with Export my data first.
- Under Format, choose what to make:
- CSV: every transaction, one row each. Opens in any spreadsheet.
- Report: a PDF with each card’s statements, payments and spend by category.
- Report as text: the same report as a Markdown file.
- Everything (JSON): cards, statements, transactions, payments, plans, paydays and categories, in one file.
- For CSV and the reports, with more than one card, choose under Cards either All cards or one card.
- For CSV, choose under Dates either All dates or Choose dates, then set From and To.
- Tap Export. Corte shows “Preparing your export”.
- Your device’s share sheet opens. Save the file to Files, send it to yourself, or share it with another app.
What’s in each file
Section titled “What’s in each file”- CSV has these columns: date, card, last four digits, merchant, category, direction (charge, payment or credit), amount, currency, the statement’s date, where the transaction came from, and how sure Corte is of it.
- The report starts with what each card still owes and the total owed per currency. Then, for each card: the latest statement (balance, minimum payment, due date, what you’ve paid and what’s left, and the payday that covers it), spending by category for this cycle and the last statement, your installment plans, your payoff plans with their schedule (months at an expected rate are marked “projected”), and every statement. It ends with your payments. It’s written in the app’s language and your time zone.
- JSON holds every record, your notifications and what was sent included, for keeping or for another tool.
Amounts are written as they appear on your statements, next to their currency. Amounts in different currencies are never added together or converted.
Names and notes are readable, so the file is not encrypted: keep it somewhere safe. No export includes the original documents, the sign-ins for your mailboxes, or your password.
Questions
Section titled “Questions”Why can’t I choose dates for the report? The report follows your cards’ cycles and statements, not a range of dates. Use the CSV for a range.
If something fails, Corte shows “Couldn’t prepare the export. Try again.” Check that your device is online.
