Introduction
The first time you open Corte on a device, four short slides show what it does before the Welcome screen. You can watch them again at any time from Settings.
The slides
Section titled “The slides”- Every card runs on a cycle. A card’s cycle runs from one statement cutoff to the next. The picture is the cycle ruler you’ll see on each card: the tall ticks at the ends are the cutoffs, the tallest tick is today, and your payday and due date sit in between.
- Pay each card on the payday that covers it. Corte groups your cards under the last payday before each due date, with one total per payday, as on Today.
- Statements in, figures checked. Forward your bank’s emails or upload a PDF. Corte reads the figures and asks you to check anything it isn’t sure about in Review.
- Your data stays yours. Corte only reads statements and never moves money. AI reads a statement only when its layout is new, and only if you allow it. Amounts stay hidden on the lock screen, and you can delete everything at any time in Settings.
The cards, dates and amounts on the slides are examples, not your data.
Moving through it
Section titled “Moving through it”- Tap Next to go to the next slide, and Back to go to the one before.
- The bar and the label above the title (“2 of 4”) show where you are.
- Tap Skip at the top right to go straight to the Welcome screen.
- On the last slide, tap Get started to open the Welcome screen.
The introduction shows only once on each device. After a reinstall, it shows again.
Watch it again
Section titled “Watch it again”- Open Settings.
- Under Corte, tap Watch the introduction.
- Move through the slides as above. Tap Close at the top right, or Done on the last slide, to go back to Settings.
Are the figures on the slides mine?
Section titled “Are the figures on the slides mine?”No. The cards, amounts and dates are examples. The dates are counted from today so the pictures look like a real cycle.
I skipped it. How do I see it?
Section titled “I skipped it. How do I see it?”From Settings, Watch the introduction. Signing out doesn’t bring it back, since it belongs to the device.
